IMHO the two antagonized each other. The girl definitely could have asked better and not recalled with a "are you going to send me a f*cking ambulance?" and the guy could have not retorted back to her. Of course he is supposed to be able to handle this, but that girl was definitely a little stuck up at the time. I would have gotten the point across right away, but yea, she definitely was not thinking clearly - no one does when they are panicked.
No - the cop shouldn't get fired, he worked there for twenty years with excellent service and nothing wrong for such a long time. Yes - he slipped up and deserves a punishment, a few days away from work to cool down ,and figure out what was probably going wrong in his life, with or maybe without pay.
Police are humans and make mistakes tons of times. But after a while of dealing with a lot of crap, many would probably start feeling unrewarded. He did end up calling the ambulance though.
