He was acting un-proffesional really.. I never heard of a law about profanity in extreme situation.. If you f-bomb the police officer in person thast called disorderly conduct and the most he can give you is a ticked and cuff you.. but you wont be spending time in jail. As previous posters sadi he got aliitle bit to obssesd =)... being a student at a college for Policeman i cant even imagine behaving like the officer there... The best kind of officer is the 1 that can comprehend the lvl of the situation and act closesly to the environment and people while upholding the "law" at the same time. I mean ive met and got cought by loads of police officers and only once recieved a summon and thast out of at lkeast 7 times.. Cops are nice and understand the situation.. and only a/holes give you tickets and summons just to fill out quota at the end of the month.

Given his commendations, I bet the guy knows that if he screws in this kind of job, people can die directly as a result of his actions. If he had a bad day, he should have talked to his boss and take some time off.

6 minutes delay is enormous in A&E terms. His further statements show that he lied, saying that he "couldn't understand what the girl wanted to say".

IMHO the two antagonized each other. The girl definitely could have asked better and not recalled with a "are you going to send me a f*cking ambulance?" and the guy could have not retorted back to her. Of course he is supposed to be able to handle this, but that girl was definitely a little stuck up at the time. I would have gotten the point across right away, but yea, she definitely was not thinking clearly - no one does when they are panicked.

No - the cop shouldn't get fired, he worked there for twenty years with excellent service and nothing wrong for such a long time. Yes - he slipped up and deserves a punishment, a few days away from work to cool down ,and figure out what was probably going wrong in his life, with or maybe without pay.

Police are humans and make mistakes tons of times. But after a while of dealing with a lot of crap, many would probably start feeling unrewarded. He did end up calling the ambulance though.
